The EU’s Geopolitical Future in the Light of New Security Challenges

In 2005-2013 Salome was Ambassador representing Georgia in Brussels as the Head of Georgia’s Mission to the EU and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Kingdom of Belgium and Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.

Prior to her Ambassadorial posting, she was a member of the Georgian Parliament and a Deputy Head of the Committee on Foreign Relations.

In 2002-2004 she worked for the National Democratic Institute (NDI) as the Parliamentary Program Officer in Georgia and Kyrgyzstan.

In  May of 2015 she was appointed for the  NDI as the Resident Governance Director for Libya.

In June 2015 Salome Samadashvili founded a non-governmental organization "Center for Strategic Communications and Democracy" in Georgia and a strategic communication and consulting company   "Samadashvili International Consultants" in Ireland.

Since September 2015, she is a visiting lecturer at the University of Georgia. Since 2013, she has cooperated with Wilfried Martens European Studies Centre in Brussels, as an honorary associate researcher. She has published a number of research papers  and articles on the topic of the European policy.

Salome holds a BA degree in Political Sciences from the Allegheny College, Pennsylvania, USA, as well as an LL.M degree in Comparative Constitutional Law from the Central European University in Budapest, Hungary and a Masters in Public Policy from the American University, Washington.

 In 2011 she was awarded the Presidential Decoration of Splendor for the success achieved in the diplomatic field.
